My name is Sarah Voigt and I am excited to be serving in the area of Children’s Ministry.  Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14, ESV).  I have a real joy for children and I believe that all people have much to learn from the wisdom of a child.  I graduated from Lambuth University with a B.S. in Mathematics and Sociology.  I experienced a call to ministry and outreach while volunteering and working at a local outreach center towards the end of my college career.  I had not “planned” on going into ministry; however, as I listened to the call of God on my life I began to understand that God was calling me to devote my entire life to His ministry.  As a way of responding to this call, I came to Kansas City to attend Nazarene Theological Seminary to further my academic and practical understanding of full time ministerial work.  It is hard to believe that in the Fall of 2007 I will be starting my 3^rd year of graduate school at Nazarene Theological Seminary working toward a Masters of Divinity. 

My husband Ted and I have been married for 2 wonderful years, and we are enjoying life as we seek to be true to the passions that God has placed within us and live our lives in full service to God.  We love exploring Kansas City and all of the exciting restaurants that can be found across the city (especially good BBQ).  I enjoy reading (especially the heavy load of text books for school, thrift store shopping, hiking, watching movies, and painting/building furniture for our apartment.  We love people and I am excited to get to know all of you more and more as I have been the opportunity to minister and be ministered by the children of St Luke and the surrounding community.
