| Greetings from South Africa! 13 May 2005
We just received our wedding pictures two days ago, and I REALLY like the
use
of technology in this area - we not only get nice prints, but a CD of all of
them digitally. This makes it easy to send some on to all
of you, which some of you have been asking for (with considerable vigor).
The
wedding was wonderful. In the end we just had to guess how many people would
come, and at the end of the evening the manager of the venue said that the
chairs put out were ALL filled, plus a few more brought in at the last
minute.
There was enough food, and plenty of cake. Louise's family took the extra
cakes
away and, from what we hear, continued to feast on them that night and then
again the next morning.
We took the following week off as a honeymoon (phase one; we are now in
about
phase five, I think), then came back to town for the meeting of the
congregation
on Sunday night. We are now in Rustenburg, where I did a bible study on Thursday night and will also do a teaching in church
tomorrow morning. We are both EXTREMELY busy getting ready for two seminars
on the Bride of Christ coming next weekend and the following one. People continue to respond to Louise's radio broadcast of almost four weeks ago on the Bride, and I will be doing another one on 'Men in the
Bride' on Tuesday.
We had a very nice experience the day before the wedding. We were in the
car after Louise had her hair done when a lady we don't know came to the car and
excused herself for interrupting, saying she wanted to tell us something.
She and her husband had seen us at a mall a few days before, and then
somewhere else, and then again just now. They wanted to tell us that we were
the happiest couple they had ever seen, and wishing us well in continuing
that. Now that is a task we can definitely set our hearts to without
reservation!
Enjoy the photos! |
