It is the responsibility of this committee to take care of the finances and facilities of the church. The chairperson is Elder Tom Rule.
Our mission and ministries are inspired by Acts 1:8, "…. Be my witnesses is Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth".
To be the witnesses of Jesus Christ in our community, we work with other churches and religious organizations, such as Salvation Army, City Union Mission, Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries, Northland Assistance Center, Clay County Clothes Closet, etc. Being His witness in our state and nation, we are part of the Heartland Presbytery and Synod of Mid-America. Being His witnesses to the ends of the earth, we are part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
Besides supporting our denominational ministries and missionaries, we support interdenominational ministries such as Campus Crusade for Christ, Mouth with A Mission, Wycliff Bible Translation, Bible Study Fellowship, Gideons, etc.
Our facilities are open for a number of community events and gatherings. The Election Commission utilizes our facility for voting. Sweet Adelines uses our facility for its weekly practice. Boy Scouts use our facilities heavily. We praise God for the blessing of our church grounds and facilities and we pray that we and our community may utilize them for God's glory.
Our members donate a portion of their finances weekly for the ministries of our church. It is the responsibility of the facilities committee to take care of the finances. All the major decisions about the finances are made by the Elders of the church in their meetings, called the Session.
